This guided tour on the largest lake in South America takes you on an adventure to the beautiful Lake Titicaca Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile. In addition to breathtaking views and diverse wildlife, you can look forward to learning about the Taquile Island’s unique textile traditions that made it a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site. Rounding out the journey, you will be able to experience pre-Inca and Inca cultures as you see the funerary towers of Chullpas de Sillustani.

End location: Lima, Peru
Day 1 – Transportation from Juliaca to Puno and Time to Rest
When you arrive to Juliaca, you will be transported to your hotel in Puno. You will have a free day to settle in and get some rest.
Day 2 – Sail to and Explore the Uros and Taquile Islands
To begin your tour, you will be picked up at your hotel in the Puno city center and driven to the port, where you will board a comfortable motor boat. Your guide will take you to the Uros Floating Islands (30 minute trip), before sailing to Taquile Island (approximately 2 ½-hour sail). You will then have the opportunity walk around for about 30 minutes to observe the beauty of Lake Titicaca.
Later, you will have lunch in the same place as you get to know more about the inhabitants and textile industry of the island. After having lunch and visiting the main square of the island, you will descend to the main port, where you will return to the boat to reach Puno at 17:30 pm.
Day 3 – See the Chullpas de Sillustani of Pre-Inca and Inca Cultures
On this excursion, you will be picked up in the afternoon around 13:50 pm to go to your next destination, Sillustani, which is about 40 minutes away. After arriving at the Sillustani site, the guide will take you for a 30-minute walk (low level of difficulty) to see the different chullpas de Sillustani or funerary towers of pre-Inca and Inca cultures. You will also be able to observe the beauty of the Umayo lagoon around the chullpas. If you would like, you can visit a rural house on the road, where you will see the life of the Andean man, and then later return to Puno.
Day 4 – Return to Lima
After breakfast, you will be taken to Juliaca Airport to fly to Lima. When you arrive to Lima, our mobility service will be waiting for you to take you back to your home or meeting point.
