Our Mountain Biking Huaraz tour starts with a talk from our mountain bike guide where he will give you the safety and route briefing. After this, we begin the ascent to Llupa through a mixed path of asphalt and dirt roads. As we go higher, the altitude increases gradually. We will enjoy views of the snow-covered mountains, Ocshapalca and Ranrapalca.
Once we get to the valley, we can see the Refugio Llaca and Lake Llaca. Here we will stop to enjoy lunch, and after we will descend towards the ruins of the Wilcahuain Mausoleum. We visit the site and then continue our descent back to Huaraz.

Moderate Difficulty: loose gravel and rocky terrain, steps, obstacles, closed curves, altitudes higher than 13,123 feet (4000 m) above sea level. This route has 3,280 feet (1000 m) of elevation gain with inclines from 4% to 12%. Days of 6 or 7 hours on the bike with rides equal or longer than 40 km.
