Amazing two day trek through one of the bigger and more astonishing areas of native forest of the Sacred Valley of Peru. Experience with us the authentic Quechua nature and culture and the while experiencing the magnificent views.
We’ll start our trek from Ollantaytambo after breakfast, where we’ll take an Incan path that brings us to the ruins of Pumamarka, through the impressive terraces of Muscapuquio. Once in Pumamarka we’ll visit the ruins and have our Box Lunch. After exploring there, we’ll start walking the path leading to the Waterfall of Pacchavado, and then continue walking up to the Quechua community of Choquechaca (3900masl), where we will set up our campsite for the eveing. After setting up our camp we’ll walk around the surrounding area to visit the impressive forest of Queuñapucro and, if we feel the forces we’ll head to the base of the Alancoma Glacier to take in the spectacular views.
We’ll start day two leaving from Choquechaca around 9:00 am, ascending the impressive Apu Huanacaury. After taking in the incredible sights along the way, we’ll start the descent bringing us to the colonial small church of Markacocha. Here we will stop to have lunch and enjoy the area. That afternoon we can visit the Quechua community of Willoq, or have some time off to relax before meeting up with out driver and car who will bring us back to Ollantaytambo.
