Discover, snorkel and swim the crystal clear waters of Gilligan’s Island

This 11 hour trip will take you from the colorful and animated Yauco district, to the unique natural wonders of Guanica’s Dry Forest, before you take a dip in the stunning, glassy waters of Gilligan’s Island. The fun doesn’t stop here however; the radiant Sunflower Farm and a visit to the Firehouse Museum (known as the ‘most easily recognizable landmark on the Island’) still await. On this trip, you will hop, skip and jump into the true spirit of Puerto Rico as you enjoy the local history and the gloriously clear, Caribbean Sea.

Itinerary

This action-packed day starts with brief stop in the rainbow region of Yauco, Grab a coffee, whilst savoring the lively art murals and multi-colored buildings. The trip will then take you through Guanica, a modern town which maintains its roots and connections to its traditional past. Glimpse the largest area of dry, tropical, coastal forest in the world, known as ‘El Bosque Seca de Guanica’, and the vintage lighthouse ruins where US troops were first spotted, leading to the Spanish-American War.

When you reach Guanica Bay, a 10 minute boat transfer awaits to take you to Gilligan Island. You will be dazzled by the stunning clarity of the ocean; hop off the boat and take a dive into the enticing water. Take your time to explore the mangroves, greet the native sea-life and tumble off paddleboards in the paradise that surrounds you. Having worked up an appetite, you will be served a light lunch before heading back to Guanica to enjoy the sunny delights of the Sunflower Farm.

To conclude your day, you will take a final stop in Ponce to admire the historic town plaza and take a trip around the Firehouse Museum. A transfer will take you back to the original meeting point by 18:00 pm and then the evening is yours to relax after this spellbinding, busy day.
