This full day trip will allow you to explore the hidden treasures of the Caribbean; snorkel, swim and discover what lies concealed in the crystal clear waters of Mata La Gata. Not all the joy is located off the coast however, as this experience will take you to the unique rainbow washed city of Yauco, the sunny fields of the Sunflower Farm and the incomparable architecture of the Firehouse Museum.

Take in the early morning sun as you trundle through the picturesque inner mountain regions towards Lajas.
Wander through the vibrantly decorated town of Yauco and appreciate the artistic extravagance of the city’s murals.
On reaching Mata La Gata you will be dazzled by the pristine turquoise waters and can swim amongst the tropical fish and mangroves, exploring a pocket of untouched nature.
To conclude the tour, you will head back to Guanica for a cheerful visit to the sunflower farm, before ending the day at the iconic Firehouse Museum.

This exciting experience starts early to ensure a day filled with variation and activity. Having met your guide at 07:00 am sharp, you will have the opportunity to take a meandering stroll around the vibrant city of Yauco and relish in the colorful murals. The trip will then take you through the scenic inner mountains to the coastal town of Lajas where you will board a small boat taxi, to take you to Isla Mata La Gata.
As you approach the island, you will be astounded by its natural beauty; the encroaching mangroves, the glassy, turquoise water and the fish swimming beneath you. Take this opportunity to discover a small part of the world that remains virtually untouched by human footprint. Having worked up an appetite from the inevitable excitement, the guides will provide you with a light, picnic lunch to savor whilst gazing out into the glittering ocean.
Your experience will take a couple of final stops; firstly in Guanica where the sunflower farm will show you the delights of Puerto Rico’s agricultural produce, and then lastly to the unique Firehouse Museum, locally known as ‘Parque de Bombas. Your guide will conclude the tour on return to the Montehiedra Mall in San Juan, after which the evening is yours to relax and reflect on your once in a lifetime adventure.
