Our scuba diving Puerto Rico trip will commence when you meet our guide on Steps Beach. He will get you fully kitted out with tanks, weights and any other diving equipment you may need. Then, you know what to do; it’s just a case of hopping straight into the water.
Lying hidden by the ocean, just off Steps Beach is the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve; here you will dive amongst the largest remaining Elkhorn Coral population in the whole of the Caribbean Sea. This type of coral is particularly important for the ecosystem, as besides being the natural habitat of sea turtles and schools of tropical fish, due to the way it grows, it also acts as a natural barrier which prevents the swell energy of waves causing erosion of the coastline.
These reefs are also home to species such as, Parrot Fish, Blue Tang, Surgeonfish, Spiny Lobster and most exciting of all, Humpback Whales have been spotted in this area.
Our experienced guide will lead you through the coral reefs to make sure you get the best out of your trip and see as much of the phenomenal sea life local to this region as possible.
