Located on the shores of Guatemala’s beautiful Lake Atitlan and about 7 kilometers outside the village of Santiago Atitlan is Finca Xetuc – a ranch nestled in Mother Nature. Join us on a full-day tour and put your physical and mental abilities to the test by doing this combination trek – climbing one half of El Mirador and the other half of Pacific Slope.
For this tour from Finca Xetuc, you will first do the El Mirador leg in the morning by climbing 1800 feet (approximately 550 meters) and hiking along the ridge-line, where you can take in good views of the Lake Atitlan, the Pacific plains and villages around the lake, and possibly also get to see the Pacific Ocean.
After lunch, you will then do the Pacific Slope – by climbing 1800 feet (approximately 550 meters) high again, this time to the top of the ridge, and then make your descent, landing yourself in the forest and natural springs. After that, you will make another ascent again – this time to only 7000 feet (approximately 215 meters), taking in spectacular views of Panajachel and villages across Lake Atitlan, before returning to the finca.
