At the Rio Muchacho local farm we eat what we grow and stand behind our organic products! We believe that good eating comes from good and natural food and this tour is perfect for those looking to experience slow-food. Over the years we have developed a unique menu based on the local traditions and cultures and each day, our local cook, Isela combines the various farm products we grow and have to offer up delicious meals.
Join us on this tour to experience how a meal is prepared from the ground to the kitchen table – you will be a part of the entire process from the harvest to the preparation!
This tour starts with a tasting of freshly squeezed juice of a local fruit. Next, we will begin the harvest and pick out various vegetables and fruits from our farm to then cook with the community cook, Isela!
In the kitchen, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Isela and cook up a delicious lunch with everything you’ve harvested earlier in the morning. All food will be served in the local style, in clay pots and spoons / bowls crafted from local trees.
After eating the main course, we will return to the kitchen to prepare a delicious chocolate dessert and a cup of local coffee!
At the end of the tour, you will be gifted a bar of freshly ground cocoa to take home as a memory.
